Mechanically joins 1/2 in water supply piping to male pipe threads. A special elastomeric gasket ensures a leak-proof seal. Usually used for a shower arm connection. Hand tighten only. This fitting seals by means of a gasket and the use of joint compound or PTFE thread tape is not necessary or recommended.
